FKB represents Lloyd’s and other London market insurers, as well as insurers in the United States, Bermuda and Europe who provide legal malpractice coverage to law firms. We also review and analyze liability issues for reinsurers. Our attorneys have handled virtually every type of claim against law firms.
Defense costs exposure has to be considered in addition to any eventual payment of loss. FKB helps insurance clients budget and manage expenses throughout the life of a case. FKB has a track record of operatively and constructively dealing with both our insurer clients and their insureds.
Healthcare Professional Liability Claims
FKB advises insurers, agents, and insureds on exposures arising from the provision of medical care across the U.S. FKB’s experience in this area ranges from handling major institutional exposures to large healthcare providers, to small but high-frequency licensing board investigations. The risks we handle include nursing home litigation, managed care, long-term care and allied health programs.
FKB utilizes its highly experienced medical malpractice department in this regard. Our medical malpractice team employs skilled attorneys with a wealth of experience and success defending virtually all medical specialties, including decades of hospital, emergency room and nursing home trial experience. Our insurance coverage attorneys work closely with our medical malpractice department in evaluating and pinpointing the strengths and weaknesses of cases.
