Sara J. Choe is an associate attorney who focuses on lawyers professional liability and general liability litigation.
Before joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan, Sara was an associate at a small law firm where she worked primarily in criminal defense; she also was associated with a solo criminal defense practitioner. And before that, Sara worked as an attorney with the New York City Department of Social Services, representing the agency in child support and paternity matters in family court. Sara began her legal career as a fellow with a nonprofit law firm where she represented and counseled clients in civil matters such as matrimonial & family law, estate planning, and Article 81 guardianship.
Sara earned her Juris Doctor from CUNY School of Law, where she was a Graduate Fellow, in 2017. During law school, she served as an executive board member of Moot Court; participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic; interned with an appellate public defender organization and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Before law school, Sara worked in the nonprofit and private sectors in various roles such as copywriter, education assistant, and patent prosecution paralegal. She graduated from Georgetown University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts, having majored in Government and minored in Spanish.
Sara is admitted to practice law in New York and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
