Jason H. Seiler has been with Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP for over five years and specializes in areas including defense of legal and professional malpractice claims, construction liability and labor law claims, general liability claims, and insurance coverage matters.
Notwithstanding areas of specialty, Mr. Seiler has litigated matters spanning the legal spectrum including fraud, estate planning, commercial business transactions, corporate partnerships and dissolution, real estate, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, civil assault and battery, cyber security, and bankruptcy. While at Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP, Jason has represented lawyers, accountants, business owners, property owners and contractors in all phases of civil litigation.
Mr. Seiler has a keen understanding of all facets of litigation from case inception through trial, including, but not limited to drafting pleadings and discovery demands, meeting with clients and witnesses, case planning and strategy, legal research, drafting of discovery and dispositive motions, and trial preparation and organization. Mr. Seiler also has extensive experience in negotiating settlements both privately and with a third-party neutral.
Prior to joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP, Mr. Seiler gained experience working in a variety of other legal fields, both in New York City and Long Island, including general negligence and premises liability, high level alternative dispute resolution (including both mediation and arbitration) for complex construction matters, estate planning and elder care, and no-fault insurance.
In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Seiler has been a musician for twenty years, obtained his undergraduate degree in jazz piano and plays multiple instruments including piano, guitar, bass and drums.
