David Furman

David Furman is an associate with focuses in lawyers’ professional liability, insurance coverage and litigation, general liability litigation, and other miscellaneous professional liability.  David provides coverage counseling to underwriters, brokers and policyholders, with experience in drafting reservation of rights letters, evaluating the insurer’s duty to defend, allocating for covered and uncovered loss, determining whether failure to provide timely notice of claims precluded coverage under policies, and prosecuting and defending Declaratory Judgment Actions.

David also defends construction accident cases filed under the New York Labor Law, as well as defends lawyers, accountants and insurance brokers in professional liability cases.

Prior to joining FKB, David’s work experience includes an internship in the Lloyd’s Market in London with Ark Syndicate Management Ltd., where he assisted the various Ark underwriting teams.  David also interned for Hon. Anthony Cannataro, J.S.C. (currently a Justice on the New York Court of Appeals) in the Manhattan Civil Court in 2016.

David earned a Bachelor of Arts Economics and International Relations from Saint Joseph’s University in 2015 and obtained a Juris Doctorate Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2018.

David is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York.
